Venture Debt Fund

David leads Salica Investments’ venture and growth debt funds.

David joined Salica Investments from Clydesdale Bank (latterly Virgin Money) where he ran the venture debt team for more than seven years, lending in excess of £270m across more than 65 growth companies. This was preceded by nearly ten years lending to lower mid-market leveraged finance transactions including MBOs, acquisitions and recapitalisations.

David spent his early career in audit, training with BDO in London before moving into corporate finance advisory first at BDO and then at Deloitte in Sydney. He also spent time in M&A advisory at a boutique and internal M&A at a private equity backed leisure group.

David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a graduate of Loughborough University.
